For the group Fashion Illustrators' May 2010 theme, "glasses."
The idea came out of nowhere really, but I think it was definitely influenced by the "Paparazzi" video by Lady Gaga.
Anyway, the color combination is of course like caution tape and bumblebees and other such visual warnings. Probably subconsciously inspired by the "Telephone" video........ [link]
The materials are the gold on the glasses, bust, and accessories, juxtaposed against the cheap and synthetic appeal of the yellow, plasticky latex.
The bodice itself is a synthetic chain-mail, which is linked and structured like mail, but has a certain amount of stretch.
